Title IX of the Educational Amendments

Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 states:

No person in the United States shall, based on sex, be excluded from participation in, or be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or any activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

To that end, Leighton University prohibits discrimination based on sex, including sexual misconduct, in its educational programs and activities. As an institution of her learning, Leighton is committed to fulfilling the Title IX of the Education Amendment Act of 1972 and guaranteeing that the university's education programs and activities are operated in a manner consistent with applicable regulations, provisions, and federal law.
